Materials:

  • any medium weight 4 yarn
  • H hook
  • yarn needle

Abbreviations:

sc: single crochethdc: half double crochet
sl st: slip stitchsk: skip
ch: chainFO: finish off

Notes:

  • I like a clean bottom edge, crocheting my first round into the back bump of the chain.  I suggest, before joining, remove your hook from the loop, and reinsert it from the opposite directing.  This makes a cleaner join and transition to the first round of sc.
  • Resizing the length:  This can be adjusted in a number of places.  For a longer cuff section, repeat Round 2 as desired in the Rounds 2-7 section.  For a longer hand section, you can add a round of hdc after one or more of the increase rounds, Rounds 9-11, 1 hdc per stitch.
  • Resizing the width:  see chart at the end of this pattern for instructions on increase rounds, Rounds 8-12.
